Louie Ryg
Louie is a life long resident of the Twin Cities area and is currently retired from the Minneapolis Public School district after 22 years of service.
Louie is an active member and volunteer for the Minneapolis Aquatennial for 40 years serving as Vice Commodore of Parades from 1991 to 1993, and also as Captain in 2001.
He served as a parade volunteer in the Winter Carnival Torchlight Parade for 5 years, working in the assembly area and TV zone. He was Sgt of the guard in 1995 and served as its Captain in 2004. He is a member of the Order of the Royal Guard for 12 years and has worked on numerous Parades throughout the country, including the 1987 and 1991 World Series parades.
He is looking forward to the new challenges in coordinating this year's Winter Carnival parades.
