AWARDS FROM INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL CONVENTION
The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) recently paid tribute to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival during the IFEA 53rd Annual Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.
The “Coolest Celebration on Earth™” won two awards at the event for a festival with a budget between $250,000 - &749,999, including:
Category: Best Educational Program
(for Showcase Saint Paul Noon Hour Educational Program)
Award won: Silver
Category: Best Event Photography
Award won: Bronze
Winning entries came from organizations as diverse as 500 Festival (Indianapolis); French Quarter Festival (New Orleans); San Jose Holiday Party (San Jose, Calif.); Des Moines Arts Festival (Des Moines, Iowa); and the Dublin Irish Festival (Dublin, Ohio).
International contenders included such event organizations as Daegaya Experience Festival (South Korea); Ottawa Bluesfest (Canada); The Hague Festivals (The Netherlands); and Festival Lent (Slovenia).
