An Edina woman is the 2008 St.
Paul Winter Carnival's Queen of the Snows and a longtime St. Paul hotel
businessman was named King Boreas during a coronation ceremony Thursday night at RiverCentre.
Brooke Stoeckel, 26, is a
sales manager for Visit Minneapolis North and a volunteer for the
Ronald McDonald House and is involved in the Minnesota chapter of
Meeting Professionals International. She enjoys camping, deer hunting,
snowboarding, white water rafting and card making.
Bill Foussard, 54, runs
Foussard Hospitality, Inc, which in 2006 took over the Management of
the 100-room Super 8 motel in Golden Valley. Foussard chairs "Explore
White Bear," a volunteer group promoting the greater White Bear Area.
He is on the board of the White Bear Lake
Marketfest and Manitou Days organizations, the Board of the Saint Paul
Area Chamber of Commerce, and the board of Saint Thomas Academy.
The king and queen will reign over the "Coolest Celebration on Earth," which continues through Feb. 3.
